Rubber windshield cowling end pieces found

I have had a pair I got off ebay two years ago.. after two years in the Texas sun, and last freezing winter, they look absolutely no different.. Still a very snug fit also. They dont move at all when I gel the plastics.

all plastics fade if you dont gel them from time to time.. I use a gel that keeps all the plastics and rubber black and new looking.. the only drawback is that it makes the step ups slippery on the oval bars and bumper.

Just ordered mine from Amazon. Look forward to getting them on. I recently washed my truck and am thinking that water running down the windshield went into different areas of the engine bay and caused a very weird driving issue that I am still trying to figure out because I was missing the cowl end pieces. I found a thread about the cowl end pieces missing and didn't divert the water correctly causing water related issues for them as well...

Well I'm not sure that it is directly related to these pieces or not but I found a couple threads about it so figured I'd replace it. Apparently they help divert water a certain way asks when they are not in, water will go into the engine bay and sometimes go into spark plug #4 and#8. I also saw someone say water dripped into the fuse box or into the pcm somehow. I am not good with this stuff so I figured to replace it anyway because I still haven't found what is causing it but it was definitely water related. After I washed my truck at an automatic car wash, my truck did not have any power and would bog down at low to mid rpms severely. I still haven't figured out the exact problem. I have a thread that I started on this forum titled "truck lacks power after car wash". That will give you the full story to the best of my ability. And see everyone's thoughts. I had the truck at a mechanic shop for 2 weeks and they couldn't figure it out. It's the craziest thing...
