Rough idle problem

And no check engine light? When my 05 5.4 did this it was bad coils...

Just a sporadic vibration at idle? I unplugged all the coils last night and no noticible miss like that

Just your idle huh? No jumps or difference when you gun it on the road?

Nope. Runs real good. Allot of power. Felt like when I first got it with 100k on it. Now there's 141k

Darn. I don't know bud, sounds like mine did before my coil problem, at the beginning. I'll keep an eye out for similar problems. Best of luck

Pull your air filter drawer out and check the foam gasket. Mine was gone, replaced it with foam door gasket from home depot. worked like a charm.

My ford tech buddy told me to try checking my engine and trans mounts. But I would think that if they were bad the motor would be shakin all the time and while driving.

My 05 sxt 5.4 4wd has a little idle shake. i used to work at a ford dealer some trucks have it some dont... they just tend to run rough at idle.

It never did tho before I put in the motorcraft sp515 plugs a year ago. Only reason I've done them was because I had a misfire.
