Room behind rear seat on supercrew cab
How much room is there behind a 2006 f150 supercrew cab rear seat? I was thinking about installing an amplifier rack to hold 3 infinity amps.
One is a Infinity Reference 475a and the 2 others are Infinity 1600a.
I also want to put all wiring and small video amplifier and etc back there. Is there enough room? If there is what should the dimensions of the box be? Has anyone done this before? Does anyone have the dimensions back there?
Here is a similar set up on a Nissan Titan though;
Is this possible?
Thanks so much

Yep. I dont have pictures of my install but I was able to get 2 amps, a power dist. block, and a beefy cap back there and could've easily fit more.
This site had links to both pictures of an installation (not mine) that you're talking about, as well as directions on removing the rear seat.

Did you install everything on a custom rack and bolt the rack in or did you just bolt everything on separately to the cab wall? Thanks

It depends what you have back there! I don't have that much room because my rear window motor and keyless enter boxes are back there! I was just able to fit my JL 1000/1 amp back there which is mounted to a board made of mdf. I don't have anymore room for another amp of that size but i do have room for other stuff such as a small amp, caps, wires, etc..! The best way to know how much room you have is to remove the back of the seat by simply removing the seatbelt pulley cover and reaching around and pulling the two tabs back (one/side) while lifting up the seat!
Here is pics/directions on how to remove the seat!

Hope this helps!

I used a board that was 1/8" thick, mounted everything to that, then mounted that to the rear wall. You don't have to worry too much about stuff falling off or over or anything because of the seat there.
