Default Roof racks

Hey everyone. I'm considering buying a roof rack for my truck. Reasons being I only have a 5.5 ft bed and I'm currently running 37s and have no spare. Hesitant to buy one because I don't want it just laying in the bed. It takes up a lot of space in that small bed. And I do use my bed for stuff so it'd be nice to have the extra space up top for certain things. But my truck is already so high and a roof rack with a tire is going to add quite a few more inches on top, which I'm pretty sure would stop me from going through any drive thrus.

Anyway, does anybody run a roof rack? I've only seen a few floating around the site. Black Friday would be a good day for me to purchase all this stuff.

Here is a different option, check this out. It's a 37" tire. Have to scroll down a ways:

It's a cool concept but it's in the bed. Still takes up space. When I put my quad in the bed, or my hardtop for my jeep, or anything big, it's all usually just as wide as the bed and barely fits in width wise. So that carrier would make the width of the bed too small for anything I use it for

Pricey but it would look cool on the OPs truck and be functional.

Just mount a roof basket to this and you're good to go.

If I had the extra cash, I'd probably go with it.

That's cool. But eliminates the purpose of my cover and lockable tailgate lol. I lock stuff up all the time

If I end up going with the basket than ya that's my plan. I just don't know if it will look silly with my cab so high

There's a few pics on google.. like this one, I think it looks good. I don't want a cluttered look..maybe I should just bite the bullet..I have one on my xj and I love it
