about 2 inches. I used the holes that hold the wiper cowl on and ran my hardware through there. I made brackets but it ended up that they didn't fit how I liked so I ditched em and did this.

Greetings . I was planning on running the roof led bar, but then decided it drew more attention than I prefer. And tonight was looking at it and it seemed to be calling again. I'd like to find a curved bar that goes full width off windshield/roof and maintain as low profile as possible. It it were to cover the top couple inches of windshield without much over roof line I'd be stoked. Anyone have any info on bar span and mounts to achieve this??

im also about to get a roof mounted bar, just a straight bar tho. i found a good company for LED bars, they are EXTREMELY cheap priced but surprisingly tough. I've had a few bars from them and not 1 of them has had a problem. the company is called MICTUNING and they are an amazon store, from china of course but ive been in contact with them for a few years now and they offer free replacement and return shipping to them. they have 50" flood/spot combos with 26-36,000 Lm for about $300. as for Mounts ill be getting mine from Addictive Dessert Designs as there is no ROOF drilling, only in the door jam under the weather stripping, so if you ever want to get rid of the mounts you can easily pop the rivets and just seal it and no one will ever see it. costs about $250 for the mounts but they are top quality. i also like the door jam mounts as i wanted my bar to be level with my roof so i don't compromise height. my truck barely fits where i park haha

I use to have the same mounts as Buster096 but they shook vilently when going above 45mph. I had a 50" curved totron light bar. I loved it but I just sold it and those brackets. I used the money to buy a new 54" curved Totron light bar and new stronger mounts from rough country. The Totron bars are made very well and have amazing quality. They are made of the same rigid parts, except for a few outside features due to copyright. Plus they are way cheaper. Rigid's light bars are all from china. They just assemble them in the USA. Unfortunately, if you have a older truck like mine (2008 or older) there are very few mounts for a non rigid 50" curved light bar. The 50" will look good but a 54" will go just about the whole way across the roof and with a curved one it will fit very nicely with the right mounts. I bought rough country mounts for my light bar to mount in the door A-frame. Like another member said it is easy to take off and cover up if you ever need to remove it or sell the truck.

I will post a picture when I have it up. It will most likely be sometime next weekend.
