Default Rolling Back while in Drive

I had noticed that my truck had been rolling back a bit while letting off the brake at a stop sign on my way home from work. Now these are decent hills for sure, but it almost felt like a manual the way it rolled right back. I tested it the other day and sure enough she just kept rolling back... all in DRIVE. Now is this something I should be worried about? I don't remember any of my other vehicles doing this, drive keeps them "locked" if you will. Just really curious what is going on here.

Doesn't sound normal to me.
I let off the brake and mine moves forward - even from a stop going up a slight hill.
2004 4X4 4.6L. My idle is about 575 RPM.

I've noticed mine doesn't seem to hold a hill like it used to. Mine will roll backwards while in drive as well. Seems like it does it more now then before. I'm not going to worry about it.

Mine rolls back as well... And i have the nice lag where you go from drive to reverse and it takes a second to catch.

Have you changed the fluid? Not a flush, but just a swap? Might help having new fluid.

Yeah been done that, its just the center console shifter, its not much lag just annoying when you are rolling down a hill while trying to back up, and it doesnt catch right away. Has you going "oh ****"

Nature of the beast. I aint gonna touch it till i got to
