Default RIV Customz Build: 15" lift, 18" optional

Yes, that's right, 15" to start. I don't have time to use my truck like a truck anymore and its not my daily driver. I go to local shows and events, hit up some mud pits, go to Glamis for the dunes, and Big Bear for the snow when the chance arises but nothing crazy. My days of breaking things are over and my truck will be too high to be practical. BUT, my son will need a truck in 2 years so I'll buy him a little ranger and make it road worthy so we can still have fun. Until then, my truck will serve as a testimony to my fabbing/welding skills to help turn RIV Customz into something more than just a hobby.

So here is my old setup:

40x13.5r20 Procmp Xterrains on 20x9 MotoMetal 909s
6" Procomp suspension lift
3" body lift
2.0 Fox remote resi coilovers in front cranked 3" (ouch)
2.0 Fox remote resi emulsions in the rear
Fox 2.0 bump stops & straps in rear
deaver leaf pack with 2 inch block to make everything level for 12" of total lift

Here is the new setup:
40x15.5r20 Toyo MTs on 20x12 fuel octanes in black
12" Bulletproof Suspension lift to replace the Procomp
I am keeping the 3" body lift
Upgrading the front shocks to 2.5 Fox remote resi coilovers with coils to be powdercoated fire engine red with custom red and black Fox stickers
Upgrading the rear shocks to 2.5 remote resi emulsions
I'll have to adjust the position of the rear stops and get longer straps
10" Atlas leafs with 2" block
So I'll be at 15" to start but can crank the coilovers another 3". I might crank them to see what it would look like but won't keep em cranked because it makes the ride much worse.

I also swapped out my hood for a cowl inductionand the swing away tire carrier I made for one that replaces the tailgate entirely.

It took 7 weeks to get everything in. I was a little overconfident in thinking I could do this on my own in my driveway. I realized how unsafe it would be to fab up some monstrously high jack stands to rest the truck on. Plus the HOAs would be pissed. So I took it to my buddy's shop to let me work on it with him and others since the shop is slow this week.

Yeah I already bustled a knuckle pretty good. I took the day off from my REAL job but we only had about 4 hours to work on anything. I'm uploading pics now. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I need the factory spindles. The ones for my Procomp kit aren't compatible. I'll have to get some tomorrow after work.

Front end is torn apart. I did a little clean up and painting while everything was off before I put the dropdown brakets in. Rust-o-leum any angle spray can is the best spray can ever!

This is the tire carrier I was talking about. Its from tiregate. The new tire/wheel combination exceeds the max rated load capacity so before I installed it I had it sandblasted so I could beef it up a little.

Front bracketry installed
