Default Rims, Again

My truck has factory 17" rims on it.

If I want to go up to 18 20 or 22" rims would I have to do anything special to my truck

As long as your rims have a similiar backspacing to stock, and the tires you put on them aren't too much bigger than your stock ones were.

Advantages: bling bling, you can fit bigger brakes, less sidewall flex (cornering will be a little stiffer)

Disadvantages: easier to curb, tires are significantly more expensive, less sidewall flex (you feel bumps more)

not only easier to curb but when you do, you feel that much worse.

Usually new rims and tires will weigh more than your stockers. which means you will be going through brakes faster. bigger tires=less power, your pretty much lowering your gear ratio.

When you buy your rims/tires, get the company to throw in the lug nuts as well. Mine didnt come wiht lug nuts. My wheel locks and lug nuts cost $130CAN plus $140 to mount and balance. Thats probably a little expensive but I made them open up the shop after close because I was anxious.
