Default is this the right fuel filter?

So went to auto zone and they handed me this. Get home and look at the one on my truck. It doesn't have that bend in it. Not sure if it's just a different design. Any input?

Hi.

Fer a 2004-2008 F150? Nupe. . Good luck gittin' that POS filter on thar, lol. Slap them clueless fekkers upside th' head when yall return that thang fer a refund.

Yer truck be usin' one o' the followin':

Check yer owner's guide fer which filter applies to yer truck.

FG-1083 = 3/8" fittings

FG-986 = 5/16" fittings

Highly recommend thet yall spend the extry $ and git a gen-U-wine Motorcraft filter - the Autozone units be crap, aight.

good luck

Agree. I hate the "one size fits most" philosophy of these autocrap stores.

If you don't get the Motorcraft and somehow get that filter to fit, it won't fit in the filter holder. The filter sits in a bracket on the frame that holds it from moving around. You want to take that one back and get the MotorCraft.
