Rhino lined bumber
As anyone tried to use the DIY brush on or roll on bed liner on the chrome bumpers on the truck? I found a thread about someone who did it but he sold the truck and never posted how well it held up?? I was thinking about doing it and wanted to see how durable it was. Thanks for the help!

I have a can of spray on bed liner that I am going to be re-doing my wheel wells with soon, to replace the tar stuff I sprayed a couple years ago.
PM me in a few weeks and Ill let you know how it's doing.

I used rustoleum bedliner spray on mine and it has held up really well. I pulled the bumpers off which isn't hard, sanded them down, primed them and then painted. Here are a couple pics. Have an extra can around for touch up.

Were your bumpers chrome before you did this?

That rustoleum bedliner stuff is great, I use it on my headache rack, tools and i'm about to do the bottom of my rockers and wheel wells, strongly suggest. Just prep right as JerryBizzle said. Those bumpers look great.

Around 100 as I was trying to rough the chrome up so the paint would stick better. Primer was just spray can auto primer. I have since heard of bulldawg adhesion promoter, which supposedly works great. Mine has been on about a year and holding up well.

My chrome bumpers and side steps are currently plasti-dipped and I need something more permanent. I think Im gonna go this route for something more permanent. Just didnt want to have to spend all day sanding and doing prep work. If it just needs to be roughed up, shouldnt be too bad.
