Default Revised plugs for the 3V heads.

just a tech heads up for y'all. As of 2008, there is a new OEM plug, some '07s should have it also.

enjoy. http://forums.modulardepot.com/showthread.php?t=108584

My 08 F150 5.4 has the old plugs. The first thing Troyer's did while I was having my truck dyno tuned was pull a plug and see what it had. My truck was the first 08 they had a chance to check; same old plugs in mine.

Does your truck have an '08 build date? Remember they start building the next model year in this calendar year.

Good question, I am looking at my window sticker and all I see as far as a date is 10 01 07 thats at the bottom left hand side at the end of a long group of numbers. So mabye mine is an 07 built truck; what do you think?

no, job2 builds stop around march/april. You have an early to mid '08...if that indeed is what your truck is classified as on the window sticker. case in point, my dads '96 bird was purchased new in december '95. It had a build date of october 1995.

The window sticker vehicle description says "2008 F-150 4X4 Supercrew" so I am not sure if it's an 07 or 08 build date; so which is it? Like I said I do know it has the 2 pc plugs.

If you open the driver door and look at the large sticker that has your trucks VIN number, the date your truck was made is in the upper left corner. It's in month/year format.

well, its obviously an 07 build date since you posted the date and 2008 model year. The thread states that as of april 2008, Ford is actively using the revised plug, while some 2007 builds MAY have the plug also.

I am sure this is a stupid question, but will these new plugs work on a 04 4.6L in my F150? If head design has not changed, and they work on a 4.6L, then they are Ford's idea of an improved plug for these motors, maybe?

Thanks for any feedback, Todd

no. those plugs are for the 3V heads only. Your 4.6L does not have them.
