Default Reverse issue

So I'm having trouble with reverse. When I'm in Drive the truck feels fine. turns well, runs fine, no issues that I can hear or see or feel. When in reverse, the truck doesn't want to go backward. It feels like the truck is stuck in the mud and won't spin the tires. When I do rev the engine the tire do go but they feel like they are about to spin out. It almost feels like the back breaks are like on and then they feel like they loosen up so the wheels can spin a little. Any thoughts.

It's a 2006 F150 XLT

My old man thinks the transmission is blown... Any thoughts?

Check your linkage sector to see if it's out of whack and if not then you'll have to take it to a tranny shop but. If it's not under warranty don't take it to the "FORD stealership" !!
