Default Retrofit Into Specd Headlight

Last summer I bought some specd headlights for my rig, and I'm extremely disappointed in the beam that they project and I'd like to have proper HIDs. TRS sells a retroquik package that includes their Mini H1 6.0 projector and some brackets so it'll be basically a straight swap. I'll be posting pictures as I do it when the projectors come in which should be any day now, but before I go ahead with it, has anyone else done this? I'd prefer it if I could go into this project with some tips from people who've done it before. Much thanks!

Good job picking some Mini H1s for the headlights, but I love Blue Mountain State Oksana . . . haha

D'oh. You again! Thought you dint like it here

MH1's are the ONLY ones on the list when selecting a 'drop-in' Spec-D Retro-Kwik. It's not like he had a choice or anything

OP - good for you - watching this thread with much interest. Let us know if you get any bulb shake.

BTW - Oksana is Susan in Russian

I get pretty bad bulb shake with the projectors that came in the headlight and the beam is terrible. I've done a lot of research and the most work I've seen anyone do is a bit of trimming to the headlight to fit the wider bowl. It should be in tomorrow though. been waiting two weeks for them to come in.

Thanks! Oh, I very much concur with the beam pattern.

Very best of luck! The difference will be astounding.

On bulb shake - that was for Kmart's benefit. Hear that, Kmart? It's a freakin' design flaw

I'll definitely post a how-to with pictures (if I can get this app to work).
Been both extremely excited and nervous about this since I placed the order.
