Default Replacing an Airbag

Hi,

I bought and repaired a wrecked 07 F150 and the driver side airbag needs to be replaced. I was wondering if I just need to get the module reset or do I have to get the seat belt reset too? Do you know where I can get this done for cheap?

Thank you

I am a body man by trade and every time I have changed a bag, I also have to replace the module. As far as I know, that cannot be reset. Probably have to replace the belt too. Never heard of anything air bag related being reset, but the light on the dash.

There a person on Ebay that resets the air bag module:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALL-FORD-SRS-AIRBAG-COMPUTER-CONTROL-COMPUTER-ECU-RCM-SDM-ACM-MODULE-RESET-/271218455597?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AF-150&hash=item3f25e1342d&vxp=mtr
I have not tried it but he has a lot of positive reviews.

Sorry for the late post, but I recently had to pick up a module for one of our work trucks (Chevy 2500HD), new cost from Chevy was $450. The vendor from lavigeboy27's post also offers a reset service for $50 which may be the way to go. Since our module was actually bad, I purchased a used/reset version on ebay from them (myairbags.com) for $75 shipped. Worked like a charm and saved us $375 vs new.

I have sent in an airbag module to that guy on eBay, and it worked great! Did it on an 03 f150. Also you will have to send your seatbelt somewhere (maybe from the same guy, can't remember) to repair the tensioners.
