Default Replacement bumper

My 2004 f150 is in the shop to get the cab corners replaced, at the same time the shop asked if i wanted the bumper replaced as it has rust on it as well. Thinking I should do it so its all just done. The bumper from them is 450 bucks plus whatever to install paint etc. Has anyone bought an ebay bumper , if so anything i should be worried about? I was thinking about buying..

I'm looking at replacing my bumpers as well and found this website

carpartspainted.com

I have not personally used them but their prices seem great!

To save $300, it's worth checking out. Do you have a Certifit near by? Have you checked the local junk yard for a non rusted factory bumper?

I'd be leary of a cheap bumper; may save you some coin now, but may rust quicky down the road. How thick is the metal? What type of steel? Many cheap body parts don't fit correctly, and/or rust within a year or two.

I had one on my Ranger for 7 years from Certifit and it was rust free when I sold it in December. I picked up my front bumper from certifit and rear from a junk yard on it. It was an XL and I wanted the nicer bumpers when I bought it.
