Is it possible to replace 2007 Lariat woodgrain dash/door inserts with ones from an FX4? I like the carbon fiber look better than the woodgrain... My friend was going to trade me until we noticed the cutout is different around the a/c and heat controls since the Lariat had auto climate control and the FX4 had dials/*****. I have heard of the stickers you can put on top but not entirely fond of the idea... Any ideas? Thanks!

i think you can, all the stuff is welded or snapped into the panel. as for the radio surround, EATC and manual hvac use different holes.

Unfortunatly for you, the Lariat and King Ranch models used the EATC (electronic auto temp control), and therefor the plastic that surrounds it will be different from the rest of the 2004 to 2008 models. As Atom points out, it's as easy as unsnapping for most of the pieces, and swapping out.

You might want to check Ebay; I've seen kits available to change the dash and door panel inserts; can't recall if they were carbon fiber or not.

the dash/ashtraywill be a direct swap, the door panels however, the pieces are plastic welded to the door panel.

some fx4s do have the eatc and others dont..
