anyone have any experience (you-tube, drawings, etc.) on pulling OUT the current center console and replacing it with another one WITH the storage compartment ? Easy or complex ?

Its the split bench, 60/20/40 setup.

It's pretty easy, 4 bolts. I wanted to replace my center console with a jump seat, so I went to the trade section. Found somebody that wanted the console instead. We swapped and all I paid was shipping. The console has 4 nuts on the inside while the seat has 4 bolts. I kept my hardware and the seat went right over my studs. About 10 to 15 min to take out or put back in.

It's under community: trades and sales. I searched for a little while and somebody posted about it 6 months before and I PM'd him. We traded phone numbers and shipped at the same time. It's a little risky, since I didn't know him. I'd rather find somebody close so you can swap in person. But it worked out for me.

Thanks Kanga. I have places near to suburban Chicago where I can go to eyeball stuff before I buy. BACK to my main interest - Still thinking through swapping the armrest in the center seat area - I only want to get the arm rest (swivel) portion replaced.....get that out and put in one with the storage area in it. Re: disassembly and swap, and reassembly - do I hafta take out the LT and RT seats to get that swivel section out ? I haven't look at it yet cuz its cold out.
