how do you remove the shifter ***? i have a 05 fx4 with the full center consel and shifter in the middle. i know you can take off all the plastick trim around it by accesing it through the center concele but how do you remove the *** its self.
the "crome" plastic crap is pealling off and i want to either replace it or paint it

tried to use the "search" thing and couldnt find anything for our year..... any try to remove it?

no one has done anything with this? what about getting the plastik peace that shows what gear your in? the shift *** is bigger than the hole that the "saft" move in i wouldnt mind painting both

Just paint it in place. Couple plastic bags and some masking tape.
