Removing the headliner
Seems straightforward....has anyone done this? I want to install an overhead console in my 2005 STX (did not come with one). I'll need to remove the headliner to install the metal overhead console's plate.
Anything in the area of tips/tricks to removing? Looks like the A-arm trim by the windshield. Does the headliner hold up with some sort of fastners/velcro, or is it glued to the cardboard, and the cardboard glued to the roof?

There was a thread just the other day about adding rooftop clearance lights and the folks there were discussing it as you needed to pull the headliner to run wires. Might search for that and ask them.

Bucko, it's pretty straightforward. The headliner is cloth glued to a resin backing, comes out as one big piece. You have to remove:
A pillar trim
trim around the latch for the rear door at the top
rear cab trim including seat belt top bolt
all visor screws
rear hanger screws- (also a clip built in to hold up headliner)
body clips above rear window
center dome light housing
Two people make it a lot easier. Go ahead and put some cab lights on at this point
