Default Removing Flareside Step Trim For Painting

Hey, I've been searching and can't really find anything too useful on this topic: I masked off and plasti-dipped all of my trim last winter but now its peeling has gotten pretty bad so I'm gonna actually paint it but I can't find anywhere how to pop the plastic pieces off and plastic isn't something you just wanna take a stab at lol... anyone have any clue?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, blackbetty, but are we talking about the same part? The pic below has the trim I'm trying to take off circled.

Should be press in clips. Crawl under and verify.

Looks like there are two clips keeping the trim for the steps on and then for the bumpers it looks like there are a couple of the same clips for each piece. The pics below are of the ones on either side of the step trim. Should be as simple as popping those off and pulling the step.
