Alrighty then, I will not remove or tamper with my cats due to the fact that it is illegal. Thanks for the advice, probably saved me from trouble.

If anthing, just replace them with some high-flow ones. Now that said, any good cat - including your OEs - are adequate enough anyway. You only have any real problems when they get clogged.
