Removal of two-tone estimate and official color of paint help?
Hey everyone, knew to the F150 forums and (semi-new) to a F150 truck! I figured this would be a pretty good place to ask for the estimation of painting over the two-tone of my truck. I know this isn't a body shop, but I figured everyone would be very knowledgeable and helpful here! I am trying to paint the bottom two-tone (the cream/tannish paint) under the doors to the color of the rest of the truck. I am not 100% sure what the official color of the rest of the truck is. (charcoal/greyish?) How do I figure out the official color? And also how much do y'all think it will be to cover over the two-tone? Thanks!

My guess is you will have to get the whole truck painted. If not, the odds of the color matching up won't be too great, as well as a smooth finish. If it was just a section, ie the hood or fender, it wouldn't be a problem. But as it's the whole bottom of the truck... I would say new paint job, so about 3000

I'd check around, a good painter, might be able to get it pretty close and then blend it (feather one color into the other so it's not noticeable).
You also might think about a new color like black, so the matching isn't crucial, yet doesn't stand out as much as the tan..

You hunt, cover it with camo. They make side pieces just for that purpose in all different colors, chrome, black, and camo are the ones I can think of but they look nice, very protective
