Removal of Dash by Radio and EATC
Hey Guys
Did alittle searching and came up with nothing. Im trying to get to the wires behind the EATC. I was wondering how does the dash come apart. Does the bezel around the radio and EATC just snap off?
This is for a 2006 F150 FX4
Any help is appreciated. Im trying to hookup my heated seats to my remote starter? once i finish this project ill post up some wiring info if im successful lol.
Thanks

Yes the bezel does snap off. Use a srewdriver or something thin and start at the top or bottom and just pry a little. Gradually work your way around. Then just unplug the A/C and cigarette lighter.

Inaugural TOTM
First thing, remove the ashtray. Then simply grab the bottom of the bezel and pull gently. It'll feel like it wants to break, but it'll come out. It's held in place by like 6 clips if I remember correctly. Just be careful not to pull the wires for the passenger airbag out, they're at the top.

If you're going to perform this type of work, I'd strongly suggest the purchase of a repair manual. Pep Boys, Autozone, or any of the bigger parts stores sell Chiltons, or other brand books that have step by step proceedures on how to do these types of things, plus pictures.
Worth every bit of the $20 to $25 bucks.
