Regearing lifted pickup how important???
I am in the process of having a supercharger, exhaust put on my pickup. It already has a 6" fabtech lift w/35" tires. A couple of local mechanics have suggested that regearing my pickup would make a huge difference in low end hp/torque. Is this necessary or would it not make that much difference. I have been quoted around 2K to have it done. To me it would have to make quite a difference for that amount of money. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Dave

2K is a little steep but it will wake up the low end power if you got 4.56s. Wxmpco has 35s and 4.56s and he will be able to share more than I can on this subject.

I would defiantly regear with 35's, a lift, and a supercharger. But 2000k is about twice what it should be, I got 4.10s put in my truck for 750 parts and labor.
Also if you don't have a custom tune, you are defiantly going to need one...

Regearing is not something that is an absolutely got to do, but it is HIGHLY recommended. I have Yukon 4.56's in my truck and have had absolutely zero issues out of them. $2k is wayyyyyyyy more than you should be paying though. I paid something like $750 for mine installed. 2 things to remember about my truck and the cost;
1. I drive a 2WD so only 1 axel to worry about. 4WDs have 2 so double the cost
2. I live in Hawaii so things are always more expensive out here. I have heard of it costing around $1400 for 4WD owners.
Also like rollingthunder mentioned, if you do not already have custom tuning you're going to need it.
