Recon fender emblems
Recon is coming out with these emblems for our trucks http://www.gorecon.com/product.php?pk=334
and I'm looking on getting them from what I can tell to remove the stock emblems they're just bolted through the fender or are they 2 way taped on or both? Are they a pain in the ***** to remove?

The front fender emblems are two sided tape...I think the rear tailgate emblem has guide pins.
I've used dental floss to remove emblems with two sided tape; especially those that advertise the dealership. Since they (dealership) are not paying me to advertise for them, they don't need to be on my vehicle.
Not a pain to remove. The dental floss trick cuts through the tape, and will not scratch the painted surface.

They all have guide pines behind them. I just used a flathead and stuck it behind them emblem and lifted away from the paint, working my way around the emblem until it came off. For removing the adhesive I found it better to not use a hairdryer and just remove it by hand peeling it back and off.

WoW..I just changed my 06 badges over to 09 badges and when you get them off theres a extra bigger hole thats hidden under the badge.I was thinking that could be used to run a wire to light the emblem with a led strip. Then these pop up.

Thats great to know there is holes behind that was the biggest thing I was worried about do to the fact I don't like drilling holes through the body. I will of course post up pics once I get them on. I don't know when that will be at this point they are only doing pre orders. I agree with you Bucko with the floss trick sorry Tide screwdriver next to body that sends shivers up my spine, I see with my luck lately have to do more then just getting adhesive off if you know what I mean
