Default Rear Supension Air Bags

Anybody running rear air bags? I love my buddies air bag setup on his F-250 for towing and I would love to be able to pump up my *** end when I load it down. I see the kits for $300+ but I already have a onboard air system on my truck so all I want are the air bags and ill make brackets myself and likely put a Hadley 500C leveling valve so its self-leveling. looking for any part number on a air bag. I can order different brands at work so id like to do it that way. Thanks!

I have the airbags and use them all the time! one has a leak in a seal somewhere but otherwise they are unbelievable!

I have a 3 place horse trailer and had a sled deck in Alaska with two powder sleds on it - didn't even sag and was very stable to boot

I just put an Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 kit on my F150 last fall and it's helped a ton. The kit was right at $280 (plus there was a mail in rebate) and worth every penny.

Yeah I bet it's nice. I don't think it matters if the rig is lifted or not. Since the leaf springs are the same just blocked up

I have them on both of my trucks. Although they don't increase your payload, it's nice to eliminate the sag when loaded. Mine are manual right now but I've been thinking of doing on-board air and a self leveling valve on the 350. That would be a slick setup.

Nice it's definitely a slick setup. After talking to a mechanic at work, that setup his dad's dodge 2500 I'm putting Cab air bags off a Freightliner truck on it. Should work well.

Those would certainly work. The only reason I would suggest buying a vehicle specific kit is that the brackets that come with them fit perfectly, are painted and come with all the hardware. When I factor my time, I don't think I could build them that cheap, and I have my own shop (MIG welder, plasma cutter and abundant steel supply). Just a thought.

Ya I know what you mean. So far I only have $130 into it and I don't mind the extra time to fab brackets and stuff. One of the main things is down the road when I need to replace the bags its only $30 a piece. Replacement air bags online are $70-$150 depending on what kit you get. Haven't decided where I am going to put them exactly yet. Looking forward to it, should be fun.
