Rear ended Wednesday

Rear ended Wednesday
Howdy everyone, on Wednesday night on my way home from work the intersection light turned red ( I was a good 450 feet away so I didn't slam on my brakes or anything ) but a teenage girl was on the phone, riding my , and not paying attention; ran into the back of me. She was driving a Honda Civic and attempted to move out the way but ended up hitting the rear left side of my truck and went under it. My rear left tire popped and my rear bumper is dinged up. Luckily there was a state trooper just a little ways down trying to catch speeders saw the whole thing and came to the intersection. Luckily the girl is paying for the repairs but I decided to go ahead and buy bigger tires so I'm paying the difference. Hopefully I'll be able to afford the tires along with a 2.5" AS leveling kit; I don't have a camera and my camera phone doesn't have a usb section or a microsd card but I'll borrow a friend's and take a few pictures soon

Like, what were you thinking when you, like, used your brakes while in front of a girl on the phone? Like, didn't you realize how totally important that phone call may have been? Like, really!

I saw a Z car stuffed under the rear of a GMC a couple of months back. It actually went so far under it lifted the rear of the truck off the ground and hit the rear end! I imagine the drver was hurt bad or killed. The wrecker was getting ready to pull it out when I went by.

thats the thing i always worry about, seeing people who dont pay attention and are coming up behind me getting all close. Probably part of i has to do with a roush F150 i saw that was all messed up in the back and it didnt even have plates yet

I really can't comment too much. Just had a 16 YO daughter get her license and a 14 YO daughter just started drivers training. I now get nervious every time the phone rings when she is out.

That sucks man.... Might not have happened in BC, as of January 1st its illegal to be on the phone while driving unless you have a bluetooth that you dont have to touch the phone to answer or call. It definatly is gonna take some getting used to but im sure there will be a lot less accidents
