From a complete stop i give it gas and the truck shifts and i feel and kinda hear a bang noise from the rear end, kinda like second gear is slamming in.It does it only 50% of the time.Any ideas on what it might be.Thanks

No, I have only had the truck for 3 months and it doesn't do it enough to make me look into it deeper.

Add friction modifier to the rear end mine would do the same thing and shudder going up a hill at times. A 7 dollar bottle of friction modifier in the differential took care of mine ( tsb from ford about this also. Im a ford mechanic)

They just greased the slip yoak. At the time it was under warranty. But it took them like 30 min. To pull the diff cover grease it reinstall and fill. I am guessing you will be like a 100 bucks. If that is your issue it is a pretty easy thing to do.
