I just used the hole saw that came with the camera to drill a hole through the plate. Then pushed the camera into the hole. The camera I have has little clips on it so once it goes into a hole it won't come out unless you press the tabs on the back.

Through the plate is a great idea. Illegal, probably, but I dont care. My tinted windows are illegal. I may have to steal your idea!!!!

Yeah, most likely illegal. But like you, I don't care. We'll see what they say when I go to turn my tags in down the road.

Ehh they will just probably charge you for the plates. I think it's like $30 around here. I'm not to worried about the legality of it. Just wasn't centered and not tailgate.

That handle is only $24. That is a good option too. I thought about doing it that way but didn't want to loose the capability of using the camera when the tailgate is down.

yea, i didn't word it correctly. $46 for handle and camera...

i love it... picking up my trailer is precise and easy.
