Default Re-Upholster Cloth Seats

Has anyone had their front cloth seats re-upholstered with the OEM material? I just purchased an 05 XLT with the cloth and although the seats aren't terrible, I'd like to re-upholster them like they were when they were new.

Thanks in advance.

I just had my drivers seat redone. It cost me $185 to have the bottom cushion repaired. I bought the truck used and the previous owner just slid off the seat never used the steps. The seat looks great now. The used the same material as the factory.

Don't spend good money on re-upholstering with the factory OEM cloth. It would just be a waste. The 04-08 cloth was terrible about staining. Basically you look at it wrong and it stains. I redid mine with leather but I know thats an expensive endeavor. Probably should talk to your local upholsterer about what some better options are. The OEM cloth is actually bad enough when I talked to upholsterers about it they wouldn't even have to ask what I drove. They just knew it was a 04-08 Ford.

If you want to use the OEM fabric, then just spray with Scotchguard; the stuff works.

Another option is Wet Okole or CoverKing; both make neoprene, which may not be the most luxurious material known to man, but fairly durable.

That's what I have read. I really don't want to go the seat cover route, unless there are some that you can't tell are covers (fit well enough so that you can't tell they are covers).

Yeah the Wet Okole and Coverking both offer good alternatives to reupholstery. You can tell they are covers but only after looking at them for a minute. A quick glance and most people wont notice. Although if you do decide to go back with some sort of cloth I'm not sure there would be much of a price difference.
