Default Re-gearing or tuner?

I have a 2006 4.6l XLT f150 and do quite a bit of towing. Since i live in alberta, Canada and do lots of mountain driving i feel like i need more power. I am pretty amateur when it comes to this stuff. Should I regear or get a tuner?

Both.... Gears will give you more grunt and a tuner will help by increasing line pressure in the trans whitch will stop any slipping and allow you to put more power to the ground.

Try the tuner first as it is the cheapest and easiest. My 4.6 is much more responsive with the Edge Evo tuner. I don't tow much but for everyday driving the tuner has made a good difference.

I have an edge and just installed Yukon 4.10 gears with a Detroit Truetrac in my 4.6. Still in the break in period so I haven't driven it too hard but I can already tell the difference. Gas mileage actually improved too.

Both would be good for what you are looking for but a tuner will be cheaper then regearing for sure so would start with that.
