Hey guys, got a quick question. When I put truck into gear and hold the brakes and idle I hear a rattling sound that's kind of random and it can be heard in the cab. I thought it would be one of the dreaded 5.4 engine sounds, but when you put it in park, it goes away and idles smooth as silk. Anyone have any ideas? Heat shield, maybe a cat going out?

I have the same exact problem. It is quite annoying when your at a red light and your truck is rattling away. I am thinking it is something with the exhaust. I would love to hear some ideas from others on this.

Check your heat shields, these can rattle and be very annoying...
