04 lariat need help!! pops in first gear or high rpms
Hey there, im new here so be patient 
but i have a 2004 f150 lariat 5.4l supercab 4wd. only thing done to it is cut out muffler, but when the tranny is in first gear and i giver all hell at WOT it has a very fast loud popping sound come out the exhaust until i let off and sometimes i have a bad hessitation at around 3000 rpms, i did the pedal adjustment some people said they had similar problems, i got more response and can burn them alot easier at dead stop so it helped but it still has the popping and its driving me nuts!! any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, cole.

yes it does.. when its popping the rpms stay steady and will not climb any more, also when its popping and i let off the belt squeels.. today i was messing around trying to see what it could be and all the different things its doing, i put it in first gear and gave WOT from dead stop and my truck would cut out after 3-4000 rpms no more and could not accelerate at all, shifted it to second and it would go forever same as drive... what gets me is the belt sqeeling so im not sure what it could be..

Those belts do have some noise when at WOT real quick. I would take the throttle body out and clean it up real nice and clean the MAF sensor up then try it again. I bet it will fix ya up
