Default Ram Air Hood questions

I'm looking at getting a ram air hood for my 06' FX4 but i'm not sure what i should expect to pay and if there is any big difference in performance between different hoods. I'm thinking i should be getting the hood and air intake but is there anything else i should be aware of that i might need to buy? Is the installation pretty ez or should i get a auto shop to do it for me?
Here is one of the better sites i found for a pre painted hood and intake.
https://www.ramairhood.com/store/scr...p?idproduct=43
With it being Black and a 06' i can't imagine the color matching would be far enough off to notice a difference between the body and the hood but am i better off buying it unpainted and getting it matched and painted locally?

I was hoping to not have to pay more then $1200 for everything. I dunno, lemme know what your experiences are and what ya think.

Well,
If you plan on getting a hood, make sure you factor in the shipping charge. To a residence, it will run you around $150.
Most likely, your paint code is UA which is black ebony cleacoat.
When you get it painted at a shop, make sure the place paints it the ford factory color, because not all blacks are the same.
Hope I helped out.

I just bought a Trufiber Ram Air Hood for my 05, I payed $430, not painted, not installed, and i picked it up in LA, installation was easy, true bolt on, it comes "functional" but to really route it to the intake well requires some customization.... But I'm also a cheap *** so if your willing to drop that $1200 then yea that link to that other hood looks real good https://www.f150forum.com/f4/just-want-show-some-people-my-progress-20492/

At the link i posted the total with intake and shipping charges and all that is going to be close to $1,700 and i'll have to install it myself. So, its about $500 more then i'd like to spend.
