that hood has a little ducting built into it, making it easier to get to a cai box.

mine is wide open in the front. no ducting at all...

looks like if i run a stock air filter box with no duct work my scoop openings will be 9-10" from the intake opening...

on my list of mods now...

got the filter and filter insert box today.

still need to order the ford filter box that attaches to the throttle body...

anyone add a cold air intake and have the stock filter box available?

should be pretty dry, i have to try hard to splash water into the hood scoops.

Yeah, I was just thinking driving through a downpour if the water would get the filter wet.


I'd just keep an eye on it.

i plan on it...

i have been watching under the hood for water since i added the hood and only once did i really splash in there. had to purposely run through a deep water/mud hole and splash it up over the front end to get inside.

guess if i go mudding anymore i need to tape off my scoops...
