i got a laugh out of the "rail dust" thing. ha ha i know for a fact my trucks never been on a rail car and has a BRAND NEW paint job and had rust spots in the paint within days of the fresh re-paint. youre brakes are made of steel, when you apply the brakes, microscopic pieces of the rotor wear off and often stick to the sides of your truck creating whats often mistaken as "rail dust" its something that most dealerships wont fix because its often not a result of being transported via rail car. as stated above, a paint cleaner and clay bar will remove the rust spots from the paint.

Yea ok, I bought my truck and it was covered with "rail dust" and the stealership was able to remove all of it. Oh BTW this truck had 18 miles on it when I bought it. How many times do you apply the brakes in 18 miles????? Ha Ha?
