Check the wires where the drivers door goes into the rubber tube that goes into the cab of the truck. I am willing to bet that you will find the ground to be broken and possibly some other wires. I had some of the same issues you speak of along with my mirror led turn signals not working and no sound from my drivers door speaker. Take the door panel off then unclip the harness and try to remove most of it from the door and then pull the rubber boot protector between the door and the cab and look closely at all the wires. Mine had 6 wires broken including the ground. Reconnected them and heat shrink the wires and you will be good to go. From what I hear this is very common on these trucks.
