I have a 2004 F-150 The lights on the radio and clock does not work. The radio works. After I turn the key off there is a humming sound every three seconds as if something needs or is trying to reset. The service engine light is not on so I can not read any codes. i have disconnected the battery cable hoping it would reset but did not help.

Stock radio? Sounds like you need to pick up another one or go aftermarket. The stock ones are pretty cheap on ebay.

same thing happened to my radio. I just decided that was a perfect time to upgrade.

Was the buzz sound at three second intervals form the radio or is that form something else. Also thanks for the reply

no, just the lights didn't work. New radios aren't much these days. I got a full double din touch screen with dvd and aux inputs and a rear camera for $150.

Ive found in my 93 which may not relate to you sometimes the light is out and if I touch the headlight switch it will come back on. Its happened 3 or 4 times. Something for you to try if you havent.
