Question Quick question....

If I found a parting out FX4 same year as my truck, would I be albe to take the captains chair (electric moving) out and put it in mine? If so would it be a straight bolt it in or would i have to run new wires to power it? Also same question for the center dash piece around the radio so I can have the climate control offed in the FX4?

Chances are you'd have to wire the seats, if the controls are on the seat, just cut the connectors out of the wiring harness to make installing them easier.

As for the center dash piece, get as much of the center section as you can and you'll need to grab the harness, control module and temp. sensor.

The seats should be an easy swap. The Climate control has a lot more sensors and things going on with it

Chances are your wiring harness already has the plug in for the different seats. In the older Fords they were there just under the carpet and under the kick panels. I did an interior swap on and old ford truck and everything was there to do a conversion. The only thing I had to do was get the power window harness from the donor truck. My harness had the right plug ins for that even. Just had to add the jumper harness that went from one door to the other.

I am assuming the newer trucks would be the same, using one main wire harness and just not using the other connectors for different package options.
