I have a code alarm remote start and have 2 relays attached to the optional output generally used for the rear window defroster. They both are activated when the start button is hit a second time after the truck starts. It sends 12V to the relay closing them and they in turn sending power to my heated mirrors and drivers seat.I have the drivers seat wired on high since I had no way to activate the low setting with 1 relay .
Make sure you use relays.. relays do not take many amps at all to close them and then they can send a larger amperage output to what ever your turning on.
The mirrors were a piece of cake to wire since one switch turns both mirrors on.But the seats were each on a separate switch and each switch had 2 positions for low and high.so the easiest way was to just run the relay to the drivers seat on high.
Right now its been snowing in Cleveland and extremely cold.but in the morning my truck is warm,my mirrors are clean of ice and my butt is warm.
And if you dont want them on just dont hit the switch again..simple.
I went up to auto zone and bought the alldata cd which gives you online access to all the wiring schematics for your truck..as well as tons of other pieces of information and TSB's on your truck.I didnt feel like probing the wires blindly since modules and ecm's are expensive.
As far as a pressure sensor or switch..if there is one I must be on the other side of it because i have no problems.Maybe the switch..if there is one..sends current to the dash switch once closed??If so i'm working around it by running my relay directly to the switch.all i know is according to the diagram it was suppose to work so I first ran a jumper wire to them to verify that 12v turned them on..once I knew it would I ran the relays.

no need for relays if you wire it before the seat module .i have done this many times no problem its a negative pulse output and most remotes have one or more.

No..on the code alarm you press the start button a second time to activate the relay.I'm sure others are the same or have a seperate button for accesories.
