Any you guys replaced the steering shaft coupler with the updated design?
I do get a little steering rattle on some bumps and it would be nice to tighten that up. Problem is, it's 200 bucks, I'd hate to spend that, if it wasn't a dramatic improvement.
The easiest, cheapest place I could find it was on eBay.

Is that the rattle i been hearing on mine? Ive only had the truck a month an havent gotten around to pin pointing where its coming from... Is this a safety issue at all?

It's not a safety concern. The new one is bigger and stronger that's all.

I need to find a way to pin point my rattle kinda think it is the steering though now

It's a pretty easy upgrade. I'm surprised nobody has done it.

How much is the new type? Or is there a free way to do this easy upgrade?

I'm on my phone, but search eBay for "lower steering shaft coupler" A couple distributors (tasca) have it for $204.00.
