It is nice to be able to fit 6 at times. My dad has the captains and its kinda funny that he has 4 fullsize doors and can only fit 5 people and I have the ext cab and can fit 6.

As I stated previously, Ford tie rod ends, ball joints, center links, etc are GARBAGE and have been for as long as I have been working on cars, 35+ years.

You are going to be adding stress to them, especially so with the addition of larger tires.

there are kits out there with reamers and inserts to rework the front end so that the tie rod ends mount from the top. That is the ideal way to get ground clearance and protection, and keep the rods from being lengthened to the max length and angles for which they were not intended to run at. The more the angle, the harder it is to get things to move, the same reason you try not to torque bolts with a U joint on your torque wrench.
