Default Question About Ford f-150 King ranch!!!!!!

I want to get a Ford F-150 King Ranch. But lately, I heard the gas mileage is very bad on them. I don't drive on the freeway to much, just around the city and to get around. If any one has one, and has expirence what do you think of the mileage and the price. One more thing how much does it regullary cost to fill up the whole tank?

Thanks A lot guys!!!!!!!!!

the king ranch is the same as the rest as far as mileage, it is a trim package only. that said it would be hard to say how much it would cost to fill depending on gas prices and the tank capacity as there are 2 sizes.

I gotta new 08 KR 4x4 screw with 5.4 and it gets about the same milage as my brother in laws 06 150 2x supercab xl. Hard to say for sure in traffic but on the highway its an easy 17 to 18 mpg. Nice ride and pretty much the same except the BS blinking buzzers & such. Oh but the seats!! Nice. As for the cost of a fill up.. you dont want to know that for us on Maui but it beats fillin my F450 flat bed with D @ $5.18+
What color is yours? I got the stone green thats really a nice brown!?

For 2008 the EPA has changed the test for milage, the truck should get very close to whats on the sticker. 13/17 on a 4x add a couple to each on a 2x. You should be able to get this truck for in the low 30s. Not bad for a 45k all your ever going to need loaded and then some truck. Dont know exactly on fill cost, @3.50/17= .206 per mile, so 300 miles will cost $62. Best thing to do, buy the 08 and take the big discount, if gas stays high, oil has dropped like %25 in the last month, get a little car to keep some of the miles off the KR. I have a new excape (22-28) and a old truck, the reverse works too.

i do only short highway trips and mostly city in my 4.6 and i get 11.2 mpg to 11.6 normally, but that is about 1-2 mpg short of the 5.4, bigger motor and better mileage. i have a 27 gal tank, not the upgraded tank, cost me about 105 out here in ca to fill up, on base that is, on 87

but honestly i think 11.2 is decent, its all what you think is a good mpg, i used to drive my 91 tsi around town with a 5-7 mpg and running on a min of 93 octain.
