Replaced my manual slider with power slider, took me about 2 hours... Not too bad... Ran $412.95 shipped to my door from eBay (ford dealer) also came with defrost which I wired up too.

I would be interested in more info on this. I got a rear power slider with defrost off the forum for 175 and would like to wire it up to work... Where did you put the switch for the window and the switch for the defrost.

I heard a rumor that if you already have the power mirror defroster from the factory then the rear defroster will work with the power slider.

That may be correct I was looking at the wiring diagram and the mirror heat and the rear window defrost appear to be the same circuit

So it turns out that Ford actually sold the Rear power window as a retrofit kit. It came with a wiring harness and instructions to integrate it into the stock non slider truck.. they give you a paper template the you can use to modify your dash to add the switch with a drill and a file.

try calling ford parts and giving them this Part number al3z-15422-b306

Supposedly that is the rear power window kit and should come with a wiring harness the hardware and motor

So you have to replace your entire rear window for this?
