Default pulling trigger on new tires... dynabeads?

Well, finally pull the trigger on a new set of tires.. and was wondering how to go about balancing them... i've heard good and bad things about dynabeads.. is it worth the 100.00 to get them instead of standard balancing?

i have nice rims so if i was to use our balancer i would only balance the inside with stick on weights.. so i dont ruin the lip with weights

I just hate how stick on weights leave the white residue thats a pain to get off

33/12.50/20

Never heard of dynabeads, sounds expensive though for them.

I always use the stick on ones inside the wheels, you can really see them with your wheels? I would just stick with those if it were me.

I am running 35x12.50x18 MTRs on my truck. Had a hell of a time trying to balance them so decided to try the beads. Have worked out great for me. Been running them for about 8k miles with no complaints.

Not sure where you're getting them for $100 though. I got mine off amazon for $40.

I'll have to look around, i was more or less curious if they ware correctly and have no vibrations at high speeds.

yah i work at a dealership and when we do used trucks and put 35s-37's on it's always hard or impossible to balance out correctly thats why i've been looking into the beads

now do i need to buy exactly dynabeads or is this "e-z tire beads" the same thing i want beads that wont lump up and do the job correctly dynabeads are 80.00 on their site

Another thread about this subject this morning.
My response:

My winter tires had been balanced twice and still had a very annoying vibration. More than one tire was out of balance as the vibration was in the steering wheel and the rear end. Tires had been rotated without any change in vibration.
I didn't want to spend the $$$'s for Dyna Beads or similar products.
I purchased a 50 lb bag of silica sand. Put 6 ounces in each tire. Used a small plastic bottle with a funnel tip to put the sand in while the tires were laying flat on the floor with the valve cores removed.
Aired them up to normal pressure and installed on the truck. They bounced/vibrated for a couple of drives and then smoothed out.
No more bounce - they are smooth as silk now. Been on since last fall.
As I do not have TPMS, I have no idea what the sand will do to this system.
If you look into Dyna Beads and similar products, they recommend/require special valve stems.
I used stock valve stems and have no issue with increasing/decreasing tire pressures.
There is a chart available on the net that tells how much weight must be used for different tire sizes.

i will be buying 33/12.50/20 federals. the chart says for that size tire 8 oz per tire and for 8 oz of offroad tire beads from http://www.innovativebalancing.com/ it's 80.00 with filtered valve stems

amazon has
Amazon.com: E-Z Tire Beads - Ceramic Dynamic Balancing 4 bags of 8 oz (32 total) fits 4 tires + FREE Applicator Kit: Automotive Amazon.com: E-Z Tire Beads - Ceramic Dynamic Balancing 4 bags of 8 oz (32 total) fits 4 tires + FREE Applicator Kit: Automotive

with filter valve stems it's 55.00

not sure which to go with, i think the dyna beads are larger? for offroad tires
