Pulling a 18' car hauler
Funny this thread came up.. Just towed a car trailer today over 300 miles but came back empty handed.. Went to buy a 70 Nova that looked good from far but far from good.. Ended up walking away from the deal it was that bad..
Price wise... Way too many flaws for me..
I'm looking to drop an ls6 and t56 6 speed in one of these bad Larry's, just hunting for mint body at decent price.
The AMC is nice, but seriously, drop a good modern engine and trans in it if you really want to drive it.. Beautiful score either way tho.

Rick's 06: as of right now I am just planning on getting her running an repairing the rot. rear quarters, trunk and passenger side floor plan need to be replaced. other than that just get her all cleaned and straight. then decide on a nice paint job..
Taxman2502: I always loved the AMC cars. like you said, a very under appreciated muscle car. The hump back fenders scream sexy. well to me anyway..lol
as for my truck. I was super shocked at how well she did too..just a beast.

FYI for anyone looking at this thread for tow info.
Cars should always be loaded frontwards on the trailer. You got lucky with the AMC in that it has a short back end so you had no interference issues in a tight turn. You'll note how far ahead the car is on the trailer. This balanced the weight of the engine which should have been more forward on the trailer.
With too much rear weight trailers will sway, sometimes uncontrollably, at high speed. That is why a 10-15% tongue weight is recommended.
Glad it worked out well for you! Nice find!
