thanks for the tips...i will def. keep this in mind now....as far as having riden in an edge tuned truck, my friend has a duramax t/d with the edge juice box idk what thing-a-ma-bob and it costed like 1500. its great and all, but he can't put it in extreme race mode because it bumps the truck up to close to 935 lb-ft of torque, and the installer said if he leaves it on for more than 5 mins at a time, he can blow a piston out of the block...final story, its awesome, it does what its told to do, but u have to do some extra work before really getting the fun out of it....

As the two previous posters have already said, a tuner/programmer is for one truck only. The Edge can be moved from truck to truck with the same setup, but to move it from one truck to another, the first truck has to be returned to the stock tune.

Personally for my money the best you can do is to go with the Xcall II and custom tuning. I recently ordered my Xcal II and am waiting for delivery. The reason I prefer it over the Edge is because the Edge is canned tuned for any F150 out there. The Xcal II is customed tuned for my specific vehicle based on data I provide to the custom tuner. It does cost more than the Edge does, but not a great deal more and alot of people buy the Edge simply because it comes with the pretty guages that the Xcal II does not come with.

Troyer Performance. I faxed my sheets in this past Monday so I'm officially on the waiting list. Guys who I have spoken to have said it's about a 5 week wait, but well worth it. I also purchased an AF1 3" intake at the same time and got a pretty good discount just because I'm a member of another F150 online community where Troyer is a site sponsor.

Because it is being customed tuned (unlike the canned tunes of the Edge) based on my input sheets about my truck and there are many others that purchase the Xcal II and custome tunes form Troyer.
