Problems With 2004 F-150 V8 4.6 Liter

the calipers pistons are made of bakelite. if you do heavy duty towing, the pistons will fracture. personal experience. had to tow my brothers 5.4 home because of a blown transmission. i drove it from southern west virginia to greensboro, north carolina. on the way back home to ohio my brakes were chattering when i got home, i took em apart. the front brakes were fractured.

Well the 4.6 has been around for years. Would all those cabbies driving the 4.6 fords buy unreliable vehicles. How about the police cars too. The brake calipers/pistons should the same if your truck is a 4.6 or 5.4. Failure not caused by the engine.
