Default Problems With 2004 F-150 V8 4.6 Liter

I just bought a 2004 ford f-150 v8 with the 4.6 it has 130,000 km on it i was just wondering what kind of problems can i expect.

There's not any big problems that I'm aware of other than its under powered. The 04 5.4 3v on the other hand is very problematic. Just keep up on the maitnance and it should last a long time for you.

I went to a truck shop today and the guy told me that the 04-05 f150 that have the 4.6 have tons of problems.

Never heard that. The 4.6 is the most proven of all the Modulars... There's not much to go wrong on them.

I havent heard any problems with the 4.6 in these trucks.. If there was big problems with them than the mustang would not be a best seller (condsidering its the same motor)..

i havent heard of any 4.6 issues yet. i know the early 5.4s had problems.

4.2 V6's are a good one too. I have not had any issues with it. I'll agree it is "less powerful" then those gas sucking, cam phase noise creating, early addition spark plug breaking 5.4 V8's...

But it does get me back and forth in style and comfort!
