Default Need help finding gears?

I have a 05 f150 5.4 and I need help finding gears so my truck won't work as hard I have 26" wheels and I will be towing a car need help on which gears to get any info helps thx..

4.10s maybe? Idk, I'm used to big MTs. But that' s my guess.

What gears do you have in there now? If they are 3:73 then you should be fine with those... 26" rims with rubberband tires probably won't make gears a worthwhile mod... A tuner like an edge or SCT will help a lot more... Gears are generally swapped for larger overall diameter tires that are much larger then stock spec'd tires... If you had 33" or 35" rims then you would probably want to seriously consider gears...
If you really want to tow like a champ, get a whipple supercharger kit for around $3000 used to $5000 new..

Yea I got 3.73 and I also got edge programmer I will look in to supercharger later on thx

Bet those bad boys are heavy. Looks good. Do you have bigger/better brakes on there? 4.10s may be beneficial for you. You will also need a brake controller if the trailer doesn't have surge brakes.

Thx I'm working on getting bigger brakes thx for help on gears will look in to them good looking out?

How much highway driving do you do? That would be the only possible downside to the 4.10s in that highway rpms would be higher.

Only hwy driving I do is like very low mostly city and also truck sits almost every day don't really drive it that much

You will be good to go then if you end up doing the swap. Will be cheaper for you since you are 2wd.
